Johnny Appleseed Stamp and First Day Covers

Johnny Appleseed, whose real name was John Chapman, was born on September 26, 1774. He is world reknowned in legend and song for having planted thousands of apple trees around the Northwest Territories of the United States.Althogh Johnny Applesed died in 1845, he remains an inspiration today. Planting trees (of appropriate species, type, and in appropriate places) is one of the best things any Planet Patriot can do!
