Mayme B. Kimes

Mayme* B. Kimes was one of our century's leading John Muir experts and collectors. Together with her husband Bill who pre-deceased her in 1998, she co-authored the book, John Muir: A Reading Bibliography which remains today the essential resource for Muir researchers and fans.

Her strength, spirit, and love of wilderness has inspired us all.

* Mrs. Kimes used the appellation "Maymie" in the masterful book she and her husband Bill wrote, to reflect her first name's proper pronunciation; however her actual first name was "Mayme."
